Lawson

Lawson was named after the first property owner, John Lawson, a naturalist in the 1700’s. Set on 558 acres and started in 2006, the plan was to keep the look and feel of wooded land. There are 4.5 miles of trails plus sidewalks throughout the community. Three old grist mills are on the property plus a 150 year old Heritage Oak tree.

The size of Lawson’s homes range from 1700 square feet to over 5000. These homes feature 3 bedrooms or more. The homes are primarily 2 story but there are also a few ranch and 1 ½ story as well as 3 story homes and homes with walkout basements. All homes have a 2 or 3 car garage. The average sales price is $400 thousand to $800 thousand.

The Clubhouse, called The Mill, is designed as a mill house complete with a working water wheel. There is a fitness center, tennis courts, 3 pools and a rentable clubhouse with a catering kitchen.

Cureton

The Cureton neighborhood began in 2007 and the last home was built in 2017. There is a great mix of homes, from townhomes to single family homes. While the price range of the townhouses are around $250,000, single family homes run from $400 thousand up to over 1 million. The square footage of these homes run from 1124 for some of the smaller townhomes to over 7000 sq feet. While most homes have at least 3 bedrooms there are some smaller townhomes with only 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. There is a community pool, tennis courts, hiking trails and clubhouse and gym.

Both Cureton and Lawson neighborhoods are located in the desirable Union County school system and offer low Union County taxes.
