Queensbridge is located off Collins Rd which is just east of the 521 corridor. Just down Collins Rd from the neighborhood of Queensbridge is Publix for grocery shopping located on 521. There are other shops there as well including the newly opened West End Bagels that people are talking about. If you prefer Harris Teeter to Publix for groceries, the Harris Teeter is located just down 521 about 5 minutes away. This particular Harris Teeter has a gas station too.
For those of you who don’t know, if you use your VIC card ( which is a rewards card, not another credit card) at the Harris Teeter gas station, you always get $.03 off per gallon of gas. Also, if you shop at Harris Teeter using your VIC card, you can accumulate additional money off of your gas at their gas station.
There are also two Aldi’s in that area as well as other grocery stores too. And there is a Sam’s Xpress, which again, if you don’t know this area, Sam’s Xpress is a great place to get gas when you are super low and you need your car washed. You can get your car washed and save money on your gas. I usually get the preferred wash because I like my tires cleaned, and then I get an additional $.12 off each gallon of gas.
There is plenty of other shopping, medical offices, and various restaurants all along 521. This includes Lowe’s, Walmart, Home goods, Dollar Tree, etc. And I have to mention one of my favorite places in this area: the Indian Land YMCA! It’s great! It has an indoor pool for year round swimming, an indoor track for those rainy days when you still want to get in your walk or run, and plenty of weight rooms, classes, a gymnasium, and pickleball groups.
Needless to say, this neighborhood is a great location to Charlotte, just across the border in SC, and has quick access to meet all your needs!
So now that I have told you all about the area, let’s talk about the homes themselves. They were built starting around 2016 and are still building a few to this day. However, the neighborhood is sold out of new homes, so only resales are available. They were built by Pulte homes, and most are 3-5 bedrooms with 2 ½ – 4 bathrooms. The square footage of the homes is 2300 sq ft or larger. And they have 2 or 3 car garages. Love the 3 car garages! The floor plans are mixed, so there are ranches, 1 ½ story home, 2 stories, and even some 3 story homes. There are also some basement homes too. If you want to have a neighborhood with newer homes, and want the primary bedroom on the first floor, you should be able to find that here in Queensbridge.
The amenities in the neighborhood include an outdoor pool, cabana, and tot-lot. There are also sidewalks for those easy morning walks with the dog. The HOA fees are $261 per quarter. The average sales price in this neighborhood is $550,000.
So Queensbridge is a newer neighborhood, with well built homes, in a great location!
