The Vineyards at Lake Wylie is a large community with ranch and two story style homes on a lakefront setting located in North Carolina. When the Vineyards at Lake Wylie are fully built out there should be at least 1500 homes in the area. Many of these homes are energy efficient with open floor plans. The Vineyards on Lake Wylie also has areas of attached townhomes with downstairs master bedrooms. The amenities include a resort style pool, walking trails, pickleball and tennis courts. The Meritage Homes neighborhood is called Solena at the Vineyard.This master planned community has 200 homes already constructed and openings for 170 more. These homes are energy efficient with open floor plans. Your homeowners dues pay for lawn care, trash, and amenities. These are complete spec homes, so you do not get to choose your finishes even if buying a new construction home.
DR Horton has 6 neighborhoods in the area. All of these are sold out, but there are many resales. The 6 neighborhoods consist of both ranch and 2 story homes from 1800-3000 square feet. The Salinas and Napa neighborhoods are mostly ranch style homes, the Calistoga has ranch and two story homes while the Kenwood and Monterey communities are townhomes. San Simeon has some ranch and two story waterfront homes. Your homeowners dues pay for lawn maintenance and amenities in many of these communities.
Dan Ryan has started building some waterfront ranches and two story homes in the San Simeon community. These homes range from 2400 – 3600 square feet with 3 to 5 bedrooms.
The builder Evan Coghill has a community called Waterfront at the Vineyards. This community has 15 waterfront lots and the prices of these homes are from the $730’s and up.
Residents of The Vineyards at Lake Wylie can enjoy a wide variety of watersports. The Community boat ramp and dock make it easy for you to launch your boat for a day on the lake. There is an option to purchase one of the 48 boat docks available only to Vineyard residents. A fenced outdoor boat storage area is also available. There is a separate kayak and canoeing boat launch. There are 10 miles of lakeside walking trails along the water’s edge.
There is a large outdoor family pool with a children’s water feature and a huge slide. There is also a second pool adjacent to the family pool with lap lanes. A Children’s playground and lakefront picnic decks and outdoor grilling areas are nearby. A small clubhouse in the area has a room for community events and meetings, as well as a small fitness area. There is also a small dog park in the community.
